LOCKING SYSTEMS
Spring Casters...ladders with 2-4 steps have 4 - 2" retracting spring-loaded casters and steel reinforced rubber tipped feet. SAF-T Lock...ladders with 5-12 steps have positive SAF-T lock with release that secures the ladder when an individual steps on the first step. Caster carriage retracts allowing metal reinforced rubber tipped feet to grip floor. Double SAF-T Lock...for 5-9 step ladders the Double SAF-T Lock (see options) is available. This locking system option utilizes 4-4" swivel casters for increased maneuverability from side to side in an aisle or any confined space. (Note: 18"W. 5-7 step ladders feature a safety lock and single wheel design.)
TREAD STYLES
G-Strut- Safety grating for the surest footing when liquids are underneath or area where slipping hazards are present. G-Perf- Perforated steel tread for normal use where liquids are not present. Easier to sit or kneel on steps.
